  • A phone or computer with internet access

🪜 Step-by-Step Guide

Follow each step in order. Do not skip steps — the sequence matters.

1Find your reference number

The reference number is printed near the top of every bill and is also on the meter record card at your sub-division. Write it in your phone notes so you never have to search again.

Pro Tip: Ask a neighbour or the landlord for an old bill if you are a new tenant. The reference number belongs to the connection, not the person.

2Open the official FESCO bill service

Go to fesco.com.pk and use the online bill option. Make sure the address in your browser is the official fesco.com.pk domain before typing anything.

3Enter the reference number

Type the number exactly, without spaces. The page shows the billing month, units consumed, total payable by the due date and the amount after the due date.

4Save or print the duplicate bill

Download the bill as a PDF or print it. A printed duplicate is accepted at bank branches. Keep a PDF copy for your records.

5Pay before the due date

Pay through your bank app, JazzCash, Easypaisa or a bank branch. Payment after the due date normally attracts a late payment surcharge, so pay a day or two early.

6Keep the payment proof

Take a screenshot of the success message or keep the bank slip. If your payment does not show on the next bill, this proof settles the matter quickly.

⚠️ Common Mistakes to Avoid

These are the most frequent reasons people waste a whole trip to the government office.

Paying on the last day of the due date

Bank apps can be slow near deadlines and holidays. Pay at least two days early.

Typing a CNIC instead of the reference number

The bill lookup needs the reference number, which is different from the CNIC or the meter number.

Using a third-party site that asks for card details

Only use the official FESCO site or your bank's bill payment menu. Never share card PIN or OTP with anyone.

Ignoring a bill that looks unusually high

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I find my FESCO reference number?

It is on the top part of any FESCO bill. If you have no bill, your sub-division office can tell you after verifying your identity and address.

What if my bill does not arrive every month?

Missing delivery does not cancel the amount. Use the online lookup and pay on time. If delivery repeatedly fails, report it to your sub-division.

Can I pay my FESCO bill from a mobile wallet?

Yes, major mobile wallets and bank apps offer utility bill payment. Check that the service lists FESCO and confirm the amount before paying.

What happens if I pay after the due date?

A late payment surcharge, usually a percentage of the bill, is added. The exact amount is printed on the bill under the due date.

Is a duplicate bill valid for payment?

Yes. A printed duplicate with the correct reference number is accepted by banks and payment apps.
